Hello,
I'm having weird booting issues with an old Acer AM5620-E5301A that I'm trying to fix up to sell (yes, I know all about Acer; at least NOW I do). This 'seems' to be related to RAM. The motherboard is a G33T-AM Version 1.0A and supposedly has a ram capacity of 8 gigs, although I have never been able to get it to boot with more than 4 gigs. I have 8 sticks of DDR2 ram: three Samsung 1GB sticks (M378T2863DZS-CE6) that came with the system, a 2GB Lexar (LX25664AA800 M16FJ2), and two 2GB Kingston sticks (KVR667D2N5K2/4G). I've tried every possible combination of these sticks with varied results.
2 sticks of Samsung only or Kingston only: If the system is left off for a while, it will generally crash a few times at the Windows logo. After a few more attempts, it will boot up and function normally, and so long as it's kept on it will run perfectly. (Any) two gigs of the Acer ram seem to boot more reliably then the Kingston, although either of the two combinations will generally work within 3 to 4 boot attempts. If I add any other stick of ram (even combining the three samsung sticks that came with the system) the system won't boot at all (power on and immediate power off). This seems to hold regardless of which of the four slots the ram is placed in.
Please look at these screenshots and tell me if its safe to go ahead with this because truth be told, please help me out, i did a lot of research about it on internet but couldn't find the proper answer so please help me out ?
Please help.
Thanks,
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
